IÐA (Lækjargata 2a) is the most entertaining book shop in town! Spacious and contemporary, independently run bookshop, stocking a range of Icelandic and English language paperbacks, travel literature, magazines and an excellent selection of photography books with great pictures of Iceland and Icelandic nature and wildlife. Iða has also Halldór Laxness's books, the Icelandic Nobel price winner, translated in English and German.

The perfect place to buy greeting cards, post-cards, gift-wrapping accessories, souvenirs and a variety of other gift items. The staff is informative and helpful, and clearly passionate about their profession. Upstairs you can enjoy your reading over a delicious cup of coffee, chocolate or other beverages along with some delicatessen. Looking forward to seeing you at IÐA. Opening hours

Open all days of the week from 09.00 - 22.00.
