The Program Guide for Reykjavik Gay Pride is out. The Program Guide includes information about the event and performing artist in english. It is also possible to get a free copy in most convinient stores, tourist information centers, hotels, restaurants and bars. The Pride Center will open at Laugavegur 28 (main shopping-street) Saturday July 18th where you can buy tickets, t-shirts and VIP passes. Opening hours are from 1 pm to 6 pm all.  Reykjavik Gay Pride openin ceremony is Thursday July 6th at the University of Iceland Movie Theater.

The biggest benefit dance for Reykjavik Gay Pride this year will be at club NASA Saturday 4th of July.  Like many years before NASA & Paul Oscar support Reykjavik Gay Pride by hosting a benefit dance for the event. All box office income goes to Reykjavik Gay Pride.

MSC Leather Pride is to take place June 19th - 21st. The event program includes Welcome party at the MSC Club house, Saturday culture walk around the city center of Reykjavik followed with a cocktail party & viking style (what else!) buffet among other events.

Leather Pride is to take place June 17th - 19th. The event runs from Friday to Sunday and includes Barbecue, Golden Circle sight seeing tour, Saturday party and Blue Lagoon trip. Reykjavik’s most entertaining competition, Iceland Drag Queen & Drag King, will take place August 5th, the day before Reykjavik Gay Pride opens. Since first held 10 years ago the competition has made a name for itself and has become an important part of Reykjavik’s Queer Culture.

BEARS ON ICE 2009 program is now available. For the fifht year bears & friends will be taking over the local gay scene in Reykjavik the second weekend of September. The event kicks off with a welcome party at the Queer Community Center September 10.

Reykjavik Gay Pride is a unique event in the LGBTworld community with  thousands coming to the city center for the parade and the outdoor concert after the parade. The dates for Reykjavik Gay Pride 2009 are August 6 - 9. The Gay Pride benefit dances are an importand financial support to the Reykjavik Gay Pride.
